Because bananas don't grow in the UK. We do have whatever is in season, freshly picked, good value and delicious.
We're reading about some supermarkets capping sales of fresh produce. At the moment you won't find tomatoes or cucumbers (come back in warmer weather) but you will find cauliflowers, cabbages, purple sprouting broccoli, plenty of root vegetables and winter leaves.
