About this producer
Natural Shoots produces a range of premium grade full traceable native wildflower seed mixes that are presented in upcycled paper and plastic shotgun cases diverted from landfills and incineration.
Founded by Edward Donald, the company reimagines waste to encourage habitat recovery and the expansion of biodiversity. The seed range Natural Shoots offers for sale at London Farmers Markets is harvested from a 1,200 square metre wildflower meadow located at a Berkshire Golf Course. The meadow was established in Spring 2025, following ground clearance and preparation work. It was sown with the help of 55 volunteers drawn from Berkshire Careers Springboard - a jobseeker group, Cookham Cubs and Scouts, residents and the employees of several local companies.
In Autumn 2025, the wildflower meadow seed was harvested using a team of shire horses with an innovative harvesting buggy designed by a F1 engineer. The use of shire horses improves the soil structure by not compacting it as machinery would do. The harvesting buggy has a ground-driven axle that turns a set of brushes caressing the ripe seed heads into the hopper for collection. This ensures all pollinators and invertebrates survive the seed collection process.
Natural Shoots products are designed to be fun, colourful and easy to use. They make distinctive and stylish gifts, wedding favours and executive presents. The seed mixes are ideal for flowerpots, window boxes, patios, gardens, allotments and rewilding projects.
