Giel Spierings is a farmers son who has started producing cheese to try and make his parents Cornish dairy farm viable. They grow all their own crops to feed their pedigree Holstein Friesian cows. Giel makes all of his cheese onsite from their Friesian's nhomogenized pasteurized milk. Sustainable forestry feeds a biomass boiler. The range of plain and flavoured Goudas are nothing like the cheese sold in supermarkets. Cornish Gouda won best hard cheese at the British Cheese Awards in 2016. Giel brings their original Cornish Gouda cheese: Medium is matured for 4 months, Semi-Mature-6months, Mature-1 year, vintage-18months+Flavoured Cornish Gouda cheese: Cumin, Fenugreek, Italian Herbs, Honey+Clover and Truffle.
