Liz and Steve Bateman rear rare breed British Lop pigs, rare breed English Hereford cows and rare breed Oxford Down sheep near Chesham. All animals are raised on organic principles and only organic fertilisers are used. Free range and traditional methods mean that their animals are able to express natural behaviour. The cattle and sheep are grass fed during the spring and summer, and on hay and silage during the autumn and winter.
They bring traditional pork sausages and chipolatas , several flavoured sausages and their Scotch and Manchester eggs and sausage rolls are delicious! At Bloomsbury they make hot food including burgers, all from their own rare breed meat.
