Hazel Griffiths runs Fruit Magpie, a small Tottenham business established in 2015 specialising in fruit cheese. Fruit cheese is a wonderful, smooth, sliceable preserve traditionally served as an accompaniment to cheese or meats. Fruit Magpie makes traditional flavours such as quince, damson and medlar as well as some unique flavours of their own. Hazel's mission is to reduce food waste by using high quality local surplus fruit sourced from gardens, allotments and Kent farms, the great majority of which is surplus which would otherwise waste. All products are high fruit content, handmade in small batches and vegan.
