In season at market November and December

Nov. 1, 2017

It's Autumn and the sun is still shining. Whether it's sunshine or showers, produce is plentiful and colourful.

Apples and pears are here; if you usually buy your fruit from the supermarket you'll be amazed by the choice of varieties, flavours and textures of apples at our markets. The fruit is freshly harvested, direct from the farm to you. Later in the season fruit is stored to keep it in peak condition, but at this time of the year it's straight from the tree. You could eat a different variety every day of the year and never get bored. Look out for wet walnuts, and medlars.
