Suffolk Farmhouse Cheese
Katharine and Jason Salisbury, aka Suffolk Farmhouse Cheeses, decided to move into cheesemaking in 2004 in order to try and keep on making a living in the increasingly difficult dairy industry, an industry in which both of them have many years of experience as a veterinary surgeon and herdsman respectively.
They haven't looked back since, and are now one of the top producers of artisan cheeses in the East Anglian region. They produce fine hand-made cheeses from their own herd of pedigree Guernsey cows, which graze freely over lush parkland in Coddenham, Suffolk. They will have on offer a soft white-mould ripened cheese, a creamy rich blue-veined cheese, a creamy semi-hard farmhouse cheese and also fresh curd cheese.
