La Grotta Ices

Kitty Travers (aka La Grotta Ices) is quickly making a name for herself - she was included in the Coco cookbook in 2009 as one of the top 100 up-and-coming food personalities globally! This is quite an achievement for someone who set up selling from a motorised scooter just a couple of years previously, and still produces partly from her home kitchen.

Our farmers' market customers don't need a book to tell them how good Kitty's ice cream is. In summer months, they have been lapping up such unusual flavours as fig leaf, pumpkin mini-milk, cob nut, pea pod, and peach leaf and raspberry ripple. All fruit is sourced from local sources and her milk and cream comes from the Jersey herd at Ivy House Farm in Somerset.
