Garden Blueberries

Jo and Andy Garden specialise in growing pesticide- and herbicide-free blueberries, on the outskirts of the village of Hepworth, Suffolk.

They grow several varieties of blueberries including Earliblue, Duke, Spartan, Toro, Bluegold, Bluecrop, Chandler and Ozarkblue, using biologically-friendly means of tackling problems (ladybirds are their best friend).  Each berry is handpicked which ensures it is fresh and has reached maturity – no stalks and tiny green ones!  Picking takes place on the Friday or Saturday before the Farmers' Market. 

Their rich Blueberry jam is packed full of blueberries – over 60% fruit – and is made within the current blueberry season with fresh fruit. They also bring to the market a range of healthy blueberry bushes.
