Burscombe Cliff Organic Farm
Hilary Jones and Ben Garratt of Burscombe Cliff Farm have farmed organically since the 1980s, due to their joint concerns about the way agriculture was headed at that time. Ben has been farming all his life and has a real passion for breeding animals. They have a very mixed stock, all based however on native breeds; cattle on the local Sussex, sheep on the Lleyn and pigs on the saddleback / Oxford Sandy-and-Black. They roam over a wide area on two sites in Kent - one near the village of Egerton and the other near the village of Pluckley (which was also the setting for the Darling Buds of May"!)
